Turn-key means we handle your entire remodel project, from start to finish. You simply “turn the key” when we are done, and start enjoying your new kitchen or bath. There are many advantages to this – namely you have one person to deal with through-out the entire project. You make decisions, and we make things happen.
At Kitchen Emporium, we take every precaution during the remodeling process to help it to be a pleasant experience. When we are removing any walls or soffits above the cabinets, we block off doorways to have a controlled work environment, with very little dust getting to the rest of your home. We also will put down tarps or blankets to protect your floors unless they are being replaced. We will confine our workers to standard hours between 8AM and 6PM unless different arrangements have been agreed upon.
Let’s talk about our workers. We use sub contractors to perform most of the work in your home. Some companies state they only use employees, no subcontractors. Let’s examine both sides. This is what we have discovered over the years. When we use a subcontractor for electrical, plumbing, plaster, paint or flooring, they are professionals with their own contractor’s license and run their own companies. If they do not do a good job, they will not do repeat business for us. Most subs, are always seeking new contractors to work for, and do not wish to jeopardize an established business relationship. Since we use the same sub contractors over and over, they know how we work and what we expect and will show up at their scheduled appointment. On the other side, are employees doing all the work. An employee could be a new hire, with very little experience, sent on his first assignment. Just because he (or she) is an employee, what are their credentials? Regardless of who does the work, subcontractor or employee, it boils down to this: do they care about their work? I have seen good subs and bad employees over the years and vice versa. When the job is over, what matters most is, you were taken care of!
On the right is a list of items a contractor is responsible for. As a Class A Contractor, licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Kitchen Emporium has a long relationship with most of our subcontractors. We have selected some of the best in the area, after all, the quality of their work reflects back on us. When an unforeseen problem occurs, our team works together to solve problems – quickly and professionally.
