What to expect when remodeling...

What to expect when you remodel a Kitchen or Bath

Remodeling your kitchen or bath can be either a very enjoyable experience or one you are sorry you ever started. At Kitchen Emporium, we are with you every step of the way, from our initial consultation to the day of completion. We want this to be an experience you are proud to share. At Kitchen Emporium, when you first meet with a designer, that person will be your contact through the complete process. The designer will be the person taking measurements in your home, designs your kitchen on the computer, your salesperson, and your job site supervisor at your house supervising all trades. When you need to reach your designer, it is very likely they will answer the phone. No secretary or voice mail to hide behind. You may even ask for our cell number. We want you to feel comfortable that you have chosen the right company to remodel your home. We also invite you to call the BBB and ask about us. We have references listed at www.citysearch.com and also names of recent customers that will show you their kitchen.

Many Kitchen remodel projects are finished in 3 to 4 weeks. Depending upon the complexity of the job, some may go 6 to 8 weeks. We make every effort to minimize the effect this has on the family. Some kitchen jobs can have a temporary sink connected. Please discuss this with your designer if you would like this. Here are a few other thoughts to consider:

  • Where will you put items from your kitchen cabinets?
  • Will you have a place for washing dishes (laundry or bathroom)?
  • Will you try to cook (microwave/hotplate), outdoor grilling or order out?

These are just a few items to decide before demolition begins.

Just remember you are not in this by yourselves, and we want nothing more than for you to be delighted in your new kitchen. Discuss any concerns you might have with us before or during the process- keeping open lines of communication will be beneficial for both sides.
